Daily Read — Privacy Policy

Daily Read ("the app") is a free reading companion that sends daily notifications linking to publicly available articles. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to deliver those notifications.

What we collect

• A random device identifier generated on first launch. It is not your name, email, Apple ID, or phone number, and is not linked to your identity.
• A push notification token (from Apple Push Notification service via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send notifications to your device.
• Your preferences: the topics you select, your chosen notification times, and which articles you have opened or saved.

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or any financial information. The app has no login and no advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

Solely to operate the app: to send the notifications you asked for, show your selected topics and reading list, and avoid sending the same article twice.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data. Notification delivery uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service as processors. Tapping an article opens it in your browser on the third-party publisher's website, which has its own privacy policy.

Retention & deletion

Data is kept while you use the app. The in-app "Delete account & data" option removes your device record and all associated data from our server.
